DMU "Express Sprinter" (1989) - almost identical to 159 which was an upgrade to run express services from Waterloo to West England. Two or three car sets (mostly 2). 400hp/300kW Cummins or Perkins engine with Voith transmission. 90mph/145km/h.
Class 166
"Thames Turbo" or "Networker Turbo" DMU (1992) Allocated to Reading on GWR. Two and three car sets. 261kW per engine - Voith transmission. 90 mph/145 km/h.
Class 172
"Turbostar" DMU. (2010) Used on the Goblin Line as well as the Chiltern and West Midlands. The West Midlands version come with gangways between carriages which make them look like 377 class. 100mph / 160kp/h. 360kW per engine (one per car) with mechanical transmission.
Class 221
"Super Voyager" DMU (2000-2002), previously with tilt capability. Composed of sets of 5 coaches. Each coach is equiped with a 560 kW (750hp) deisel engine driving two motors via a cardon shaft. 125 mph / 200 km/h.

Dual voltage EMU (1987) built for Brighton to Bedford cross London service. 750 Volt third rail or 25kv overhead power. 1.07MW. 100mph/160 km/h.

Class 350
"Desiro" EMU (2008-2009) made up of 4 cars which are very similar to Class 450 3rd rail only units used in the south. Class 350 are dual voltage (overhead or third rail). Class 350 are not fitted with shoes, but can be retrofitted if required. 2680hp/2000kW per unit. 350/1 have a top speed of 110 mph / 180 km/h.

Class 360
"Desiro" EMU (2002) built by Siemens, powered by 25kV overhead. Four or five car sets. Orginally allocated to Ilford Depot. 2080hp/1550kW. 100mph/160km/h.
Class 365

Class 378
"Capitalstar" EMU (2008) for the North London Line and now on other London Overground lines including the Watford DC line. Originally 3 car, then 4 car, and in 2015 5 car sets. Some are 750V third rail only, and others dual voltage 25kV. East London line units are based at New Cross Gate Depot and others at Willesden Depot. 800hp. 75mph.

Class 390
"Pendolino" high speed EMU (2001-2004). Originally 8 car sets, then increased to 9 and 11 car sets. 25kV OH. 6840 hp / 5.1MW. Design speed of 140mph / 225km/h, but limited to 125mph / 200km/h.
